Iran and the US are negotiating a peace agreement

Geopolitical tensions and armed clashes that have persisted for many years in the Near East region are finally being replaced by a breeze of peace. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In recent weeks, the leadership of Iran and the United States, with the help of international mediators, have been actively working on a preliminary agreement aimed at putting a complete stop to war actions. Although previous attempts failed due to mutual distrust and misinterpretation of terms, the current situation is changing for the better.
Diplomats noted that the prolonged disputes had irritated both sides and intensified contradictions. Currently, a draft of a new memorandum of mutual understanding is being discussed between the White House and Tehran.
The world-famous New York Times publication announced the most important details of this historic document. Within the framework of the agreement, a non-aggression pact will be established between Washington and Tehran.
This deal has broad regional significance and also intends to stop the bloody battles in the territory of Lebanon. It is known that despite the official announcement of a ceasefire regime there, Israeli and Hezbollah forces had regularly violated the truce.
According to sources, the initial agreement provides for a complete cessation of military actions for an initial period of 60 days. This two-month period will allow the parties to work on a major peace treaty in a peaceful environment, and the right to extend the deadline is reserved.
Negotiations are being conducted with the active participation of Pakistan and Qatar. Additionally, the Strait of Hormuz, which was closed after the clashes that began in February, will be reopened for commercial ships.
The US will gradually ease the naval blockade depending on the process of clearing mines from the strait. Iran has agreed to return maritime navigation to its previous safe state within 30 days.
President Donald Trump emphasized that this strategic waterway must remain open to all states without any customs duties.
