Three-year jail sentence for education fraud in the UK

A major fraud case in the education sector has been uncovered in Great Britain. Zamin.uz reported on this.
43-year-old Shahid Adnan, who worked as a delivery driver for Amazon, took tests and exams on behalf of students and prepared coursework for them. For this, he earned nearly 3.1 million dollars (2.4 million pounds sterling) and has been sentenced to 3 years in prison.
British media reported on the incident. Adnan held an advanced academic degree while simultaneously working as a delivery driver.
He had been providing paid services to students. Specifically, he engaged in passing tests, writing exams, and preparing coursework.
It is reported that in some cases, he charged up to 18 thousand dollars for these services. The criminal case was uncovered in 2023.
An investigation was launched after a university student submitted a prepared coursework assignment to a teacher. During the investigation, it was discovered that usernames and passwords for accessing the university system were stored on a portable storage device.
It was revealed that Adnan used this information to log into the system via student accounts and complete assignments on their behalf. During the investigation, a large amount of cash was found at his home.
It was noted that more than 3.1 million dollars were held in bank accounts. According to the investigation's conclusions, he may have completed various academic tasks for approximately 124 students from different countries around the world.
