Amazon courier imprisoned for three years for taking exams on behalf of students

An Amazon courier in the UK has been sentenced to three years in prison for taking exams and completing coursework on behalf of students. Zamin.uz reported on this.
According to the BBC, 43-year-old Shahid Adnan earned approximately $3.1 million, or around 2.4 million pounds sterling, through this scheme. Adnan holds a PhD in philosophy while working as a courier.
At the same time, he provided various illegal assistance to students for money. He solved test exams, wrote course papers, and charged up to $18,000 for some orders.
This criminal scheme was accidentally uncovered in 2023. One of the female students handed in a USB flash drive containing a course paper to her teacher.
While checking the device, the teacher discovered that it also contained usernames and passwords for accessing the university system. This specific information allowed Adnan to log into the system on behalf of students and complete their assignments.
During the investigation, police found a large amount of cash at his home. Additionally, it was revealed that there were more than $3.1 million in his bank accounts.
According to preliminary data, Adnan may have completed coursework for at least 124 students studying at universities in various countries around the world. Further investigations into this case are currently ongoing.
