One person was killed and several others were injured in the earthquake in Sinxay.

A strong earthquake was recorded in China's Xinjiang province in the northwestern part of the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to preliminary data, at least one person was killed and several citizens sustained various degrees of injury as a result of the natural disaster. The earthquake occurred on June 16 at around 17:06 local time.
Experts estimate the magnitude of the earthquake at 6.3. The epicenter is said to be located in a mountainous area in the Haysi district, at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers.
Following the strong tremors, workers in coal mines in areas near the epicenter were immediately evacuated to safe locations. Currently, responsible authorities are continuing efforts to determine the amount of damage, the number of victims, and the list of destroyed structures.
Rescue services have begun searching for people who may be trapped under the rubble. At the same time, the possibility of landslides and other secondary hazards in the region is being studied.
Relevant Chinese authorities have launched emergency measures. A series of aftershocks were also observed following the main earthquake, the strongest of which is said to have reached a magnitude of 4.9.
