Swedish climate minister Lokeberg brought a three-month supply of food to the gathering

The European Union's ministerial meeting dedicated to climate issues held in Luxembourg was remembered for an unusual event. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
For the first time, the participation of a baby only three months old was observed. Sweden's Climate Minister Romina Purmohtar brought her three-month-old son, Adam, to the meeting.
The minister stated that through this, she wanted to show that parenthood and public service can be carried out simultaneously, and that parents should not be forced to choose between work and family. According to representatives of the European Council, this is the first instance in the institution's history where a baby has attended a ministerial-level meeting.
For information, parents in Sweden are given a total of 16 months of paid parental leave. When 30-year-old Romina Purmohtar was appointed minister in 2022, she was recognized as the youngest minister in the country's history.
She recently returned to her official duties after a short parental leave. This event is being evaluated as one of the important steps regarding the support of parental rights and gender equality issues in European countries.
Additionally, creating convenient conditions in the workplace for mothers or fathers with children and taking their family obligations into account are considered urgent issues.
