Approved land exchange for the embassies of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan
The upper house of the Parliament of Kazakhstan has ratified an agreement on the mutual exchange of land plots and real estate for the embassies of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in the cities of Astana and Bishkek, as well as for the official residences of their ambassadors. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the agreement, each party will transfer to the other the necessary immovable property objects for the effective functioning of their diplomatic missions, granting the right of free use for a period of forty-nine years. The implementation of this document will contribute to raising diplomatic relations to a higher level and creating appropriate working conditions for embassy staff.

Under the terms of the agreement, the Kyrgyz side will receive a land plot of 0.74 hectares in Astana for the construction of its embassy. Additionally, a cottage with an area of 1,267 square meters will be allocated for use as the residence of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in Kazakhstan.

These measures are aimed at ensuring the free and convenient activity of diplomatic representatives of both states in the capitals. In turn, the Government of Kazakhstan will accept for use a land plot of 0.75 hectares in Bishkek for the needs of the diplomatic mission, as well as a residential building with an area of 531 square meters for the ambassador's residence.

All territories associated with these facilities will be transferred to the discretion of the diplomatic missions. The parties acquire the right to use these properties on a gratuitous basis for a long term.

This international agreement testifies to the strengthening of friendship and cooperation relations between the two fraternal states. The mutual exchange of land and buildings in this manner will help justify diplomatic corps expenses and create opportunities to strengthen mutual trust in interstate relations.

This agreement between the Governments of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan serves as an important link in long-term strategic partnership.
