5 people were killed as a result of an armed attack in the city of Shtade

Today, June 29, an armed attack took place at a youth social support center in the city of Stade, located in northern Germany. Zamin.uz reported this.
As a result of this incident, 5 people were killed. According to Associated Press reports, several people were injured at the scene of the shooting.
According to police data, the institution where the incident occurred operated as a temporary shelter intended for pregnant women and mothers with young children. People living in a family environment were present here.
Law enforcement agencies detained two individuals following the event. According to preliminary information, one of these individuals may be the person who carried out the armed attack.
Currently, an investigation is being conducted to determine the main causes and all details of the incident. The exact number of injured people has not yet been disclosed.
However, it was reported that the victims were taken to the hospital with various degrees of bodily injuries. Witness Vitaliy Mertens described the events he remembered: he heard consecutive gunshots during the shooting.
According to the witness, at the same time, the entire area was cordoned off by police officers. For safety reasons, the population was moved away from the scene.
Police stated that the situation is under control following the incident. It was reported that there is no further danger to the public.
Investigation team members are still working at the scene. Local government leaders plan to make a public statement shortly.
Meetings are being organized with the relatives of the attack victims. Representatives of the German Ministry of the Interior promised to provide psychological assistance to all those affected.
