The consequences of a powerful earthquake that struck Venezuela have plunged the country into deep grief. Zamin.uz reported on this.
Rescue teams are continuously continuing debris clearance and search operations. Unfortunately, the fact that prominent figures are among the recovered bodies has cast the public into even deeper sorrow.
Beauty pageant winner Scarlent Rodriguez has been added to the list of the deceased. According to received information, twenty-three-year-old Scarlent Rodriguez and her close companion Jose Castro were found under a collapsed multi-story residential building in the city of Catia-la-Mar.
Their family members and friends had hoped for a miracle until the final seconds, hoping they had survived. However, the news from beneath the rubble completely extinguished these hopes.
Scarlent Rodriguez had gained attention for her talent and beauty in prestigious international beauty pageants. She became widely known after winning the Miss Grand Orlando 2025 competition.
Later, she also participated in prestigious competitions held in the state of Florida, worthily representing her country. Her untimely death is a great loss for representatives of the world of art and beauty.
The number of victims of the catastrophic natural disaster in Venezuela is increasing by the hour. According to the latest official data, the number of people who lost their lives as a result of the earthquake is approaching two thousand three hundred.
To date, the bodies of two thousand two hundred and ninety-five citizens have been recovered from the rubble. Although search and rescue operations are ongoing, specialists emphasize that the probability of finding survivors is steadily decreasing.
In connection with this tragedy, the Venezuelan government has declared seven days of national mourning across the country. State flags have been lowered, and all entertainment events have been suspended.
Specialists estimate that work in the affected areas is not yet complete, and therefore the number of victims may increase further. Currently, the entire country is mobilized to eliminate the consequences of the disaster and provide assistance to the victims.
