Sixteen children held captive for four years in the USA were rescued

A horrifying case of child abuse has been uncovered in the state of Ohio, USA, according to Zamin.uz.
In a dilapidated house in a rural area, sixteen children were found locked in a single room, where they had been kept for nearly four years. This has been reported by international media and local child protection authorities.
According to the information obtained, all of these children, ranging in age from one and a half to eight years old, belong to the same family and were living in extremely harsh and unsanitary conditions.
Some of the children were unable to speak, and the eight-year-old girl with developmental disabilities did not even know how to write her own name—clear signs that they had been completely isolated from the outside world for a long time.
The children were discovered by chance during a routine inspection related to another criminal case by law enforcement officers. In connection with this shocking incident, parents of the children, as well as two grandmothers and two grandfathers, have been placed under arrest on charges of endangering the welfare of minors and threatening their lives.
Several of the rescued children were immediately hospitalized, with two in critical condition transferred to a specialized medical center.
Currently, one child is fighting for life with the help of an artificial ventilation system. Medical staff are doing everything possible to restore their physical and psychological health.
According to preliminary data, this family had been evading state supervision and social services for years. None of the children had ever attended school or received any medical care.
At present, all the children are under state protection, and psychologists and social workers are working with them. Comprehensive investigative actions are ongoing in connection with this case.
