Mojtaba Xomanaiy is absent from the funeral ceremonies of his father

At the time when the funeral ceremony for the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was being held, the acting successor Mojtaba Khamenei, from the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was being held, the absence of his son and acting Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei from the events has raised various speculations. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to written sources from influential international publications, it was announced that the funeral prayer for the deceased would be held in Tehran, and the farewell ceremonies would continue in several major cities of the country. However, so far, the new leader’s absence in public has raised many questions.
Members of the funeral organizing committee stated that Mojtaba Khamenei’s participation in the events was at his personal discretion. Nevertheless, many supporters and representatives of political circles in the country had hoped to see the new leader alongside his father during the farewell process.
The current situation indicates that his absence from publicized suggests that his absence from public view is primarily due to serious security threats. According to information from sources close to special services, the fear of a possible attack by Israel or the risk of revealing the new leader’s whereabouts has led to the decision that his participation in the ceremonies would not be appropriate.
That said, Mojtaba Khamenei has expressed his wish to participate in certain processes related to his father’s funeral, especially in the final ceremony to be held at the Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad and to offer prayers there. Let us recall that Ali Khamenei passed away as a result of the aviation strikes carried out at the end of February this year.
Originally, the farewell ceremonies planned for the spring months were postponed to summer due to the large number of participants and organizational issues. Although Mojtaba Khamenei has been elected as the country’s new Supreme Leader, he has not yet appeared in public due to the injuries he sustained in that attack.
So far, all of his appeals have been made only in written form or heard through television.
