Flights at Bishkek airport have been suspended due to a problem with the aircraft landing gear

An incident involving a passenger aircraft occurred at the international airport located in Bishkek. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As a result, the airport's operations were temporarily suspended. According to preliminary information, a McDonnell Douglas aircraft, while gaining speed along the runway for takeoff, experienced damage to the rear part of its flaps, commonly known as the ailerons.
This unexpected technical malfunction significantly affected the aircraft's movement. The pilots demonstrated skill in handling the complex situation, managing to keep the plane under control.
However, as a result of the incident, a large amount of aviation fuel was spilled onto the takeoff and landing runway. Due to the high risk of fire, all passengers on board were urgently evacuated to a safe area.
People were evacuated from the aircraft using special inflatable slides. Emergency services and firefighters arrived at the scene promptly.
According to reports, some passengers sustained injuries of varying degrees during the evacuation. They are receiving necessary medical assistance both at the scene and in hospitals.
Due to this incident, the airport's operations have been completely disrupted. As safety measures are being implemented and the runway is being cleared of fuel, dozens of international and domestic flights have been delayed or canceled indefinitely.
Currently, a special commission has been established to thoroughly investigate the causes of the technical malfunction. The airport administration has apologized to passengers for the inconvenience caused and stated that flights will resume once the situation stabilizes.
