The body of Oyatulloh Ali Xomanaiyn was brought to Iraq for burial.

The body of the late Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was brought to Iraq as part of the funeral ceremonies. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This is reported by the Reuters news agency. According to reports, the late leader's coffin was transported to the holy city of Najaf in Iraq on July 7 of this year.
He was officially received at the airport by government officials led by Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaydi, along with a number of high-ranking state officials. Najaf is considered one of the most significant pilgrimage sites in the Islamic world, especially for representatives of the Shiite faith.
For this reason, holding the funeral ceremony in this sacred place carries great symbolic meaning. To participate in these events, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also visited Najaf.
At the official ceremony held at the airport, Iraq's political leaders, state leadership, and religious scholars were present. According to the schedule, on July 8, the coffin will be carried through the city streets as part of the public funeral procession.
The farewell process for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei began on July 3 in Tehran. This event was attended by an official delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by Nuriddin Ismailov, Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
During the funeral ceremony, it was observed that the deceased's three sons participated. However, Mojtaba, the son of the late acting Supreme Leader, did not appear at his father's burial.
He had assumed his duties as the new leader in March of this year. According to some sources, he may have avoided public appearances due to security concerns or injuries sustained from previous attacks.
According to official information, the burial ceremonies will continue until July 9. After that, the body of the deceased will be taken to the city of Mashhad, where he will be laid to rest in a green dome.
It is also planned that his close family members will be buried in the same location. We remind you that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei died as a result of a military attack that occurred at the end of February.
Although his death was officially confirmed at the beginning of March, the farewell ceremonies were postponed several times. Organizers explained this by the expected arrival of millions of people to the ceremony and the extensive nature of the preparations.
Currently, funeral events in the cities of Iraq and Iran are being carried out under heightened security measures.
