Eleven people were killed as a result of a powerful tornado that occurred in China

A terrifying tornado struck Hubei Province in central China, shaking the entire nation, as reported by Zamin.uz.
The natural disaster caused widespread destruction, leaving hundreds injured. One of the most astonishing aspects of the event was that a powerful gust of wind lifted a man from his eighth-floor apartment, carrying him into the air along with his sofa and other household items.
Details of the incident have been widely covered by major international media outlets. According to official information from the Xinhua news agency, wind speeds during the evening storm on July 6 reached up to 280 kilometers per hour.
At least eleven people lost their lives in the catastrophe, while over 330 citizens sustained injuries of varying severity. Additionally, thousands of residential buildings suffered serious damage, cars on the streets were overturned, and agricultural lands sustained significant losses.
Hubei Province is one of China’s major industrial and automotive manufacturing centers. According to government reports, more than 4,850 homes were damaged as a result of the tornado.
The city of Suizhou was identified as the most severely affected area. Local publications reported that the 30-year-old man who was blown from his eighth-floor apartment along with his furniture is currently in critical condition in the intensive care unit of a hospital.
The force of the storm was so intense that even heavy trucks in various parts of the city were lifted into the air and thrown distances of up to thirty meters. Images circulating on social media show that significant destruction also occurred in the nearby city of Ejou, where five people were reported dead.
Provincial authorities confirmed the extensive scale of the damage. At the same time, over three hundred specialists and specialized equipment have been deployed to rescue and recovery operations.
Experts emphasize that such powerful tornadoes are extremely rare in Hubei Province. The last similar event was recorded three years ago.
This disaster coincided with the period of summer downpours and strong winds across the country, further complicating the situation. Currently, unfavorable weather conditions persist in other regions of China as well.
In particular, flooding is observed in the southwestern part of the country, while destructive hailstorms are occurring in the northwest. China’s leadership has urged swift assistance to affected populations and acceleration of rescue efforts.
Responsible agencies have been tasked with relocating people to safe areas and restoring damaged infrastructure as quickly as possible.
