Peskov described the communication between Putin and Trump as promising

The presidents of Russia and the USA, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, are prominent world leaders, so their communication is promising, and importantly, nothing hinders the implementation of their political will to regulate the situation in Ukraine. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov to Pavel Zarubin, a journalist from the "Russia 1" television channel he informed.

“This is about the communication between two truly prominent presidents. This is promising. It is important that nothing hinders the implementation of their political will,” he said.

Putin and Trump agreed on the possibility and appropriateness of holding peace talks regarding Ukraine during a phone conversation, he added.

Peskov noted that Vladimir Zelensky has made inappropriate statements about the heads of state several times and continues to do so.

“President Trump won the election with a unique result for America, even in swing states. President Trump has party control in both chambers. That is, from the perspective of the stability and power of his administration, he is an absolutely unique president of the USA,” Peskov said.
