As a result of an airstrike near a medical point located in the city of Dayr al-Balah in the Gaza Strip, at least 15 Palestinians were killed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Among them are eight children and two women. The tragedy occurred while people were waiting in line to obtain nutritional supplements for children.
According to information distributed by the hospital, many children and families are among the injured. Videos taken from the scene show doctors doing everything they can to assist the victims.
Relatives of the deceased in the hospital morgue are weeping and wrapping them in white shrouds. Among the deceased are a pregnant woman named Manal and her daughter Fatima.
Manal's son is currently being treated in the intensive care unit. A relative stated that they do not know what happened during the incident, emphasizing that this event is a great tragedy for everyone.
The Israeli Defense Forces explained that the strike targeted a member of Hamas's elite division. However, images and testimonies from the scene contradict this statement, confirming that among the deceased are not only combatants but also ordinary civilians, including children and women.
Currently, peace negotiations are ongoing in the Qatari capital, Doha. There are hopes for a new ceasefire agreement mediated by the US, Qatar, and Egypt.
US officials say that an agreement could be reached within two weeks. Israel has stated that Hamas must renounce its weapons during the ceasefire.
Otherwise, military operations will continue. Hamas emphasizes that negotiations are difficult and that the main demand is to stop the war.
In response to the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, Israel's military campaign has caused significant harm to the population of Gaza. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, since the beginning of the war, at least over 57,000 Palestinians have been killed.
Most of them are women and children. The majority of the population of Gaza has been displaced, and a large portion of housing has been destroyed.
The failure of water, medicine, food, and sanitation systems has further exacerbated the crisis. The attack in Dayr al-Balah once again highlighted the catastrophe in Gaza.
People waiting for children's food are being killed in airstrikes. Pregnant women are living in danger.
These events are testing not only one nation but the conscience of all humanity. In Gaza, children are not weapons; they are the greatest victims of war.
They have never participated in battles, yet they always remain the first casualties. Instead of peace, fire reigns.
