
An incident that occurred near Kyiv, Ukraine, has resulted in serious consequences for the police. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
On July 13, a face-to-face confrontation took place in the village of Mikhaylivka-Rubezhovka, resulting in several police officers being injured. According to reports, a 41-year-old man was holding family members hostage in his home under the threat of a grenade and automatic weapon.
Subsequently, a police patrol quickly arrived at the scene. Attempts to resolve the issue peacefully were unsuccessful.
As law enforcement officers approached the room, the criminal threw a grenade at them. As a result of the explosion, five police officers were injured and hospitalized.
Later, the attacker continued to resist with a weapon and was killed on the spot by return fire from the police. The National Police of Ukraine is treating this incident as a terrorist act.
Currently, investigations into the incident are ongoing.
