Britain's record-breaking hypercar presented at a price of 1.5 million dollars

British automaker McMurtry has officially unveiled the production version of its record-breaking Speirling hypercar, featuring unique and award-winning technology, as reported by Zamin.uz.
Named the Speirling Pure, this model is priced at £1.2 million, or approximately $1.5 million, and is described as the ultimate expression of engineering designed exclusively for track use.
According to influential publications, the car gained global recognition in 2022 at the Goodwood Speed Festival, where it covered over a mile in just 39 seconds, setting an absolute record.
The new production version is 95 percent revised from the original prototype, engineered not only to be faster but also more driver-friendly and easier to control. Engineers paid meticulous attention to every detail, striving for perfection.
The Speirling Pure’s most distinctive feature is its specialized fan system located beneath the vehicle. This system can generate up to two tons of downforce even when the car is stationary.
This allows the vehicle to withstand extremely high lateral loads during cornering. The car’s length has been extended by 200 millimeters, reaching 2.2 meters.
This change enables the installation of a larger battery pack and provides more space in the driver’s cockpit.
This single-seater hypercar with 1,000-horsepower electric powertrain, is setting new standards in track-only arena.
According to the company’s leadership, their goal is to combine Formula 1-level speed with the usability and practicality of a road-legal sports car. Engineers also focused on reducing maintenance costs.
For example, the special brakes are designed to last much longer under track demands. The new model features improved aerodynamics, a more responsive control system, and added comfort and safety enhancements for the driver.
The company plans to produce two cars per month at its new facility in Gloucestershire. So far, 25 units have been sold, with orders booked through the end of 2027.
While such cutting-edge technology may appeal to Uzbek car enthusiasts and collectors, it’s important to note that this vehicle is not road-legal and cannot be driven on public roads.
In summary, the McMurtry Speirling Pure represents the pinnacle of modern engineering, ushering in a new era in track-focused performance through electric power and innovative aerodynamics.
