The new Mercedes-AMG electric car was introduced with a fake engine sound

The Mercedes-AMG division has introduced the new generation CLA 45 model, aimed at transitioning drivers who love traditional internal combustion engine cars to electric power. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This electric car is attracting widespread attention not only for its high dynamics typical of supercars but also for its innovative technology that simulates the characteristic sounds and noises of gasoline engines. Autocar magazine provided detailed information about this news.
The new model is planned to be released in sedan and Shooting Brake (station wagon) body styles. The car's technical foundation is distinguished by being fundamentally different from the standard CLA models.
It is equipped with three modern electric motors developed by the British company Yasa. As a power source, it uses a 94 kilowatt-hour battery taken from the future C-Class Electric model.
The three-motor system produces a total of 671 horsepower, and the power is distributed equally to all four wheels. Notably, the two motors on the rear axle alone can provide full power.
This allows for the activation of a high-pleasure drift mode during driving. The front motor activates only when additional traction is needed, for example, during sharp turns or in unfavorable weather conditions.
Despite weighing 2.3 tons, the new CLA 45 sedan reaches a speed of 100 kilometers per hour in just 3 seconds. This means it is even faster than the legendary SLS AMG Black Series model.
The maximum speed is limited to 250 kilometers per hour, but with a special package, this figure can be increased to 270 kilometers. One of the aspects that interested enthusiasts the most is this special sound system.
This system fully replicates the sound and power delivery characteristics of the famous M139 turbo engine. Specially synthesized sounds heard inside and outside the car create effects similar to those of gasoline racing cars.
Vibrating devices installed in the driver's seat even allow the driver to feel the engine's vibration. Mercedes-AMG engineers have also developed an intelligent battery management system for racing tracks.
This system calculates in advance which part of the track requires maximum power. For example, it slightly reduces energy consumption during turns to prevent the battery from overheating and allows for the deployment of full power on long straightaways.
This news is an important step in the Mercedes-Benz brand's electrification strategy, aimed at preserving not only environmental cleanliness but also the thrilling emotions characteristic of the AMG brand. At a time when competition among electric cars is intensifying in the Uzbekistan market, such high-tech models are expected to secure their place in the premium segment.
