After a video showing the poor condition of the 472 route bus went viral on social media, the responsible authorities conducted an urgent inspection. This was reported by Upl.uz.
It was revealed that this bus belongs to a route intended for rural areas of Tashkent region. The technical deficiencies and violations of sanitary requirements identified during the inspection were immediately addressed.
The bus operator provided a photo report on the completed work, and the bus is back on the route. Additionally, control over the technical condition of all passenger vehicles in urban and rural areas, including those operated by private operators, has been intensified.
The authorities highly appreciated the citizens' activism, emphasizing that such appeals are crucial for improving the quality of public transport. Considering that a large part of the 472 route passes through the city of Tashkent, its rural status cannot justify the use of outdated and uncomfortable vehicles.
It is evident that traveling in a bus with a non-functional air conditioner, a hot interior, broken windows, and worn-out seating is difficult when the air temperature is +42 degrees. It is now time not just for superficial repairs and “patching up” old vehicles, but to completely decommission them and replace them with modern buses that meet safety and comfort standards.
These measures aim to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers.
