Extensive measures aimed at the forced collection of fines for violations of traffic rules are being implemented in the Tashkent region. This was reported by Upl.uz.
These activities are being carried out in cooperation with the regional Department of Mandatory Enforcement, its district divisions, and the State Road Traffic Safety Service employees. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to official information, such raids are conducted systematically and regularly, covering all cities and districts in the capital region. Since the beginning of this year, an analysis of enforcement documents has revealed that the total amount of debt for 3,562 cases amounts to 6.8 billion soums, with debtors identified as vehicle owners.
For this reason, law enforcement and enforcement agencies are focusing their main attention on this group of citizens. As a result of the joint measures taken, 1,112 vehicles have been identified, and their owners have been put on the wanted list for failing to pay fines.
These vehicles have been placed in special impound lots and are being processed accordingly. Additionally, the application of mandatory measures has prompted some debtors to settle their debts.
Owners of vehicles in 908 enforcement documents voluntarily paid a total of 968.3 million soums to clear their debts and were able to retrieve their vehicles. In the most complicated cases, if the debt amount is significant and payment is not made, the authorities will proceed to forcibly sell the property.
Currently, the process of forced sale of vehicles has begun for 52 cases where the total debt exceeds 1.1 billion soums. The first 18 vehicles confiscated from delinquent debtors are being evaluated and prepared for sale through electronic auction.
Relevant agencies are actively searching for vehicles belonging to citizens who have not paid fines. In Uzbekistan, the "E-Fine" system operates, which automatically records violations of traffic rules through photo and video.
Once a violation is detected, the driver is given the opportunity to pay the fine within 60 days. If payment is not made within this period, the case is automatically transferred to the Department of Mandatory Enforcement.
Based on this, raids and the practice of confiscating property, as described above, will commence.
