Kumush Razzoqova: “Let others not sing my songs”

Singer Kumush Razzoqova is one of the artists who rarely speaks openly about her personal life. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Her name was inspired by the character Kumush in her father Abdulla Qodiriy’s famous novel “O‘tkan kunlar” (Bygone Days). The singer was married to Russian citizen, actor, and musician Vladimir Baramikov, but after living together for twenty years, they divorced.
In 2013, Kumush Razzoqova was involved in a serious car accident and sustained severe injuries. As a result, she was unable to walk for two months.
Her creative career began in the group “Sado.” However, the group disbanded for certain reasons.
Currently, the singer hardly creates new work. In interviews, she emphasizes that it is time to give the stage to the younger generation.
Kumush Razzoqova openly states that she is against other singers performing her songs. “I am still alive.
I do not allow other artists to sing my songs,” she says. She also notes that it is natural for every artist’s career to start and end: “The day will come when you have to leave the stage and make way for the youth.
I don’t understand singers who compete for ratings even when they are old. The things that can be achieved in art have been achieved; now it’s time to give opportunities to the young.”
At the same time, Kumush Razzoqova openly admits that her biggest flaw is not being combative. “I still haven’t overcome this flaw.
I give up easily,” she says. The singer’s songs such as “Yomg‘ir” (Rain), “Men seni hech kimga bermayman” (I Won’t Give You to Anyone), “Oq bulut” (White Cloud), “Saraton” (Cancer), and “Ikki daraxt” (Two Trees) still hold a deep place in the hearts of Uzbek fans.
