The restoration of three mosaic panels created by the famous artist Nikolay Jarskiy in the 1970s in Tashkent has been completed as an important project. This was reported by Upl.uz.
These works are an integral part of the capital's cultural heritage, and their restoration was carried out with the financial support of the Payme company. The company’s press service provided details about the project to the information agency "Kursiv Uzbekistan."
Interestingly, these mosaic works located in the Shaykhontohur and Uchtepa districts were covered in 2021, losing their original appearance. During the restoration process, specialists carefully cleaned the mosaics from layers of paint, restoring their original appearance and colors.
This initiative is the second phase of a large-scale program to preserve Tashkent's mosaic art. In 2023, with the help of the Payme company, more than 200 mosaic panels located on facades were cleaned from advertising structures.
Additionally, 157 unique mosaics were included in the country's cultural heritage list, highlighting their historical and artistic significance. The scientific leader of the Tashkent Mosaics project, Fatima Abdurahmonova, stated that the restored mosaics play a crucial role in restoring the historical appearance of the city and the memory of past eras, people, and ideas.
She also expressed gratitude to the Payme company for its ongoing support for the project. The restoration project of the mosaic panels was carried out in close collaboration with the capital's administration, the Uzbekistan Culture and Arts Development Fund, and the Uzbekistan Cultural Heritage Agency.
These efforts are making a significant contribution to preserving and developing Tashkent's cultural identity.
