At the end of June, Ole Werner was appointed as the head coach of RB Leipzig. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Bild, Jurgen Klopp, the head of Red Bull's football department, and RB Leipzig's sporting director, Marcel Schäfer, spoke with Werner for nearly ten hours. During the conversation, Klopp and Schäfer exchanged views on the team's tactical outlook for the 2025/2026 season.
They emphasized that RB Leipzig needs to restore its pressing and dominant style of play and develop a playing style aimed at breaking through deep defensive lines. Last season, RB Leipzig finished seventh in the German championship.
As a result, the team failed to qualify for European competitions. This situation serves as an important lesson for the team, highlighting the need to analyze past mistakes and prepare more thoroughly for the new season.
