Uzbekistan reserves have reached a record level

Uzbekistan's gold and foreign currency reserves have once again reached a historic record. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Central Bank data, as of March 1, 2026, the country's international reserves amounted to 77.086 billion dollars. This figure is approximately 2 billion dollars higher compared to February 1.
The growth of the reserves was mainly influenced by the gold factor. According to Central Bank statistics, the total value of gold reached 67.67 billion dollars, with its physical volume reaching 13.1 million troy ounces.
Additionally, convertible foreign currency reserves amounted to 8.837 billion dollars. The report indicates that the increase in gold value was one of the main factors driving the overall reserves upward.
The volume of foreign securities also formed around 1.54 billion dollars. In short, Uzbekistan's reserves have reached a new peak again.
The main "locomotive" in this process is gold, because when its price rises, the statistical indicators improve instantly.
