Gasoline deliveries from Russia to Uzbekistan have slowed down

Reports have spread that gasoline supplies to Uzbekistan from Russia have sharply declined due to the situation in Russia's domestic fuel market and the temporary restrictions imposed on exports. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Russian government has extended the restriction on automobile gasoline exports until July 31, 2026. The official decree states that the measure is aimed at maintaining stability in the domestic market, amid rising seasonal demand and increasing oil prices.
However, it was also noted that deliveries under intergovernmental agreements are exempt from the restriction. At the same time, it is reported that the sale of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline has nearly ceased at some major chain gas stations in Uzbekistan, including branded stations in Tashkent.
It remains unclear how long the shortage of imported gasoline will last. Uzbekistan's authorized bodies have not yet issued separate statements on whether gasoline supplies from Russia have been completely halted or whether an official shortage has emerged in the domestic market.
