Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the new school built in the Ikota neighborhood

During his visit to the Bektemir district of our capital, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Iykota neighborhood and closely examined the construction and landscaping works, the President's press service reports.
It is noted that nearly 6,000 residents live in 37 multi-storey buildings and 1,400 private houses in this area.
Last year, a three-storey neighborhood administration was put into operation. Now, a general education school No. 358 has been built at the expense of the state budget. The President inspected this new institution.
The school, which has nearly a thousand places, is equipped with classrooms, computer and foreign language rooms, a robotics club, and a laboratory with necessary educational equipment. A library, a gym, a football field, and a kitchen have been created for children with ample facilities.
During a conversation with educators, the importance of properly shaping children's abilities, developing vocational education, and preparing graduates for skilled professions was emphasized. In particular, tasks were outlined to expand fields such as information technology, robotics, and engineering, and to strengthen the spirit of military patriotism among teenagers.

“Two private kindergartens have been established on the first floors of the new houses in the neighborhood. Their opening just before Navruz was a festive gift for parents. There are 70 trade and service outlets in the neighborhood, and many are engaged in household activities in 2 production enterprises. Under the urgent one-month program announced by our President, the effective use of household plots and the planting of agricultural crops are actively ongoing,” the report states.
