A government decision has been adopted regarding "Additional measures for regulating passenger transportation activities in road transport".
According to the decision, the following rights are granted to taxis without routes owned by legal entities:
- to stop in areas where the "No Stopping" road sign is in effect, including areas adjacent to airports and train stations, for the purpose of picking up and dropping off passengers;
- free access for picking up and dropping off passengers at paid parking areas of airports, railway stations, bus stations, construction materials with a state share of 50 percent or more in the charter fund (charter capital), farmers' and goods markets, and trade complexes;
- to move along a special lane designated for route transport vehicles.
In addition, from April 15, 2025, until the end of 2026, individuals self-employed in vehicles with more than 4 and no more than 8 seats, and with high comfort, approved by the Ministry of Transport, will be allowed to carry out unregulated taxi activities in the city of Tashkent as an experiment.
In this case, since a license certificate is issued to self-employed carriers, a state duty will be collected in the amount of 3 times the basic calculation amount (BHM).
