USA and UN: New cooperation through the "Security Council"

The US administration plans to cooperate more closely with the UN and manage its activities more effectively through the "Peace Council" mechanism. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was announced by then US President Donald Trump at the first meeting of the "Peace Council" held in Washington. According to Trump, the US wants to develop close cooperation with the UN.
The "Peace Council" is being formed as a special mechanism aimed at monitoring the UN's activities and overseeing its effective functioning. At the same time, plans to financially support the UN and modernize its infrastructure were also discussed.
In his opinion, these measures will turn the UN into a stronger and more efficient organization on the international stage. According to information, the first meeting of the "Peace Council" was held in Washington on February 19.
More than 20 country representatives participated in it. Initially, this council was established to monitor the situation in the Gaza Strip, ensure stability, and coordinate recovery processes.
However, later Trump proposed expanding the council's powers and turning it into a mechanism operating in other conflict zones as well. Overall, Washington is promoting the idea of creating a new "peace architecture."
On one hand, this includes financially supporting and modernizing the UN; on the other hand, it involves strengthening strict control and management. However, it is still unclear whether this initiative will increase the UN's effectiveness or cause new debates around the organization.
