The labor cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan is entering a new phase. As a result of negotiations between the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers and Japan's renowned "Shimizu Corporation," job opportunities in Japan for our compatriots are expanding further.
Shimizu — a giant with a 200-year history
Founded in 1804, "Shimizu Corporation" is one of Japan's largest and most prestigious construction companies. The company operates in the fields of construction, architecture, engineering, and design. Its annual turnover exceeds 15 billion dollars.
Currently, 150 specialists from Uzbekistan are temporarily working on various projects within the company. They are mainly employed in the construction and manufacturing sectors.
The agreement is opening new doors
During the negotiations held between the parties, the issue of further expanding the placement of our compatriots in various regions of Japan was discussed. Notably, opportunities for Uzbek citizens in the driving sector are also expected to open up.
At the end of the negotiations, a memorandum formalizing this cooperation was signed. It envisions collaboration in the fields of construction, manufacturing, and services across all regions of Japan.
Work visas will also be opened for Uzbek drivers
The new memorandum is considered a significant opportunity, especially for our citizens wishing to work as drivers in the Japanese market. According to the plan, the number of job positions is expected to gradually increase.
