Magomed Adiev, the head coach of the “Krylya Sovetov” team, gave an interview to “Match TV” ahead of the match against “Akron”. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He talked about the feelings that arise when facing a regional derby in the first official match. According to the coach, a derby is unique and each team wants to win it, but the start of the championship also creates a special mental state and festive mood.
It is natural to feel a bit tense entering the game since the team is not yet fully formed. After the match, it will be clear in which direction development is needed.
Adiev also commented on the team's defensive system. He mentioned that they plan to use a system consisting of three central defenders, but this scheme will differ from the traditional trio and will be more flexible.
The coach stated that the main issue has been fully forming the team, as players are still joining. There was also talk about Ivana Bobyor, who is making his debut in the starting lineup for today’s game.
The coach highlighted that he has shown good performance during the preparation process, especially excelling in team play metrics in the last week’s training sessions. That is why the choice was made specifically for him.
Additionally, a question was raised about when Kiken, who recently joined the team, will be included in the roster. The coach expressed hope that he and Banyaets will take the field in the next game against “Pari NN”.
