The San Siro stadium may not be awarded the Euro 2032 games

The stadium has lost the right to host the Champions League final in 2027. Now there are discussions that it may also lose the right to host European Championship games in 2032.
The problem lies in the stadium's outdated structure and equipment. The stadium does not meet some of UEFA's mandatory standards.
Time is limited, as Italy must present a definitive list of stadiums by October 2026. Meanwhile, among all the stadiums in Italy, only the Allianz Stadium of the Juventus team in Turin fully meets UEFA requirements.
Other stadiums need to undertake additional work to reach the required standards. This situation poses a serious challenge for Italian football, and the importance of modernizing stadiums and aligning them with UEFA standards has increased significantly.
