Wants to extend the contract with De Jong

Currently, negotiations for his new deal have been temporarily halted as the player's agent Ali Dursun has ended their collaboration. According to journalist Fernando Polo, there is currently no representative negotiating a new contract with de Jong at Barcelona.

Nevertheless, the club's management is calmly accepting the situation and believes that an agreement with the player will be renewed soon. Frenkie de Jong's current contract is set to last until mid-2026.

Earlier, reports had emerged about the 28-year-old midfielder's desire to extend his contract with the Catalan club. Communication between the club and the player is expected to resume soon.
