The defender of the "Baltika" team, Natan Gassama, commented on the expulsion of the Moscow "Torpedo" team from the participants of the Russian Premier League ahead of the new season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union expelled "Torpedo" from the 2025/26 season and replaced it with the "Orenburg" team. Gassama stated that he had not delved deeply into this situation, but nonetheless emphasized that he had been monitoring the situation.
He mentioned that during his career, he had seen clubs drop to lower leagues due to financial or organizational issues. Such a situation occurred in France with the "Bordeaux" team.
Gassama expressed that the situation with "Torpedo" surprised him and stated that such cases harm the competition before the championship begins. The next game of the "Baltika" team will take place on July 26, and they will take the field at the Moscow "Spartak" team's stadium.
This match is considered one of the important contests for the team in the new season.
