This incident began with a routine food delivery service for the city's residents. Brittany ordered food through the "DoorDash" app and did not know that the courier who delivered it was 78-year-old Richard Pally.

As seen in the video footage, elderly Richard was struggling to carry a heavy package down the stairs. This scene touched Brittany Smith's heart, and she deeply felt the difficult situation of couriers.

It later turned out that although Richard was retired, his family's financial difficulties forced him to return to work. His wife Brenda was unemployed, and there was not enough income to cover household expenses and medical treatments.

Therefore, the couple began working together: Brenda drove the car, while Richard delivered orders to customers. Brittany Smith wanted to give the courier an extra tip, but the app system made it impossible.

She immediately posted a video showing Richard's situation on social media and asked for help. People's kindness manifested unexpectedly quickly.

Soon, more than 32,000 people joined this charitable initiative, raising nearly $955,000. Brenda Pally spoke about the incident, noting that even though we were strangers, people rushing to help was a true miracle for them.
