Douglas Santos considers Saint Petersburg his hometown

In an interview, he emphasized that even though his relatives and friends are far away, he considers St. Petersburg as his hometown. According to Santos, he regards this city and Russia as his home, and he finds the most comfortable conditions for himself here.

He has been playing for Zenit for several years, and during this time, life and the environment in St. Petersburg have become very close to him. In an interview with Metaratings, the footballer added that the team's support, the atmosphere, and the love of the fans have further strengthened his connection to the city and the country.

He also mentioned that last season Zenit secured second place in the Russian Premier League, with Krasnodar taking first place and Moscow's CSKA team in third place.
