Moscow 'Torpedo' team's head coach Oleg Kononov wants to strengthen the team with former defender of the Podmoskovye 'Khimki' club, Danil Stepanov. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

After the 'Khimki' team was relegated from the Russian championship and filed for bankruptcy, the players became free agents. At the same time, Metaratings reports that due to the lack of confidence from the leadership of the automotive plant, the specialist may be dismissed soon.

Earlier, it was mentioned that Kononov wanted to buy Roman Pasevich and Dmitriy Nikitin from the 'Sochi' team, but negotiations have been suspended for now. In the new season, 'Torpedo' faced a setback at the start of the Parimatch League, losing 2:3 in the first match against 'Chelyabinsk'.
