On Wednesday, a meeting took place between representatives of the clubs in the Russian Premier League, the league president, and leaders of the Russian Football Union. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
One of the main topics of the meeting was the issue of increasing referees' salaries. According to a report from the Sport Baza Telegram channel, the Russian Football Union requested a total of 200 million rubles to increase the funds paid to referees, which means an average of 12.5 million rubles from each club.
According to sources, clubs have asked for time to discuss the proposal, but they emphasize that it will be difficult to reject this offer. The second round of matches in the Russian championship will take place from July 25 to July 27.
The most notable match of this round will be held on Sunday between the teams "Krasnodar" and "Lokomotiv." The results of the match and the increase in referees' salaries are expected to have a positive impact on the development of football.
Club leaders and representatives of the football union have agreed to continue discussing such issues in the future.
