Rostov striker Egor Golenkov commented on the reasons for the defeat in the second round match of the Russian Premier League against Moscow's Dynamo. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, during the first twenty minutes, the team played well and managed to put pressure on the opponent. However, after conceding a goal, the game became a bit more difficult.
The second half went well, as the opponent was not given any chances, but the team also could not create many attacks. The only goal of the match was scored by Ivan Sergeyev.
Interestingly, the current Dynamo head coach Valeriy Karpin previously managed the Rostov team. Before the game, the coaches had a warm conversation and sincerely congratulated each other.
It was also noted that Jonatan Alba had worked in Karpin's coaching staff at Rostov. The match ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of Dynamo.
This result indicates a lot about the quality of play and tactical plans of the teams throughout the season.
