Milano's "Inter" football club sold midfielder Tajon Buchanan to the Spanish team "Villarreal". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The player signed a five-year contract with the team known as the "Yellow Submarine". The transfer fee is estimated at 9 million euros.
Buchanan played for "Inter" for a year and a half. The Canadian player moved to "Nerazzurri" from Belgium's "Brugge" in the winter of 2024.
However, he could not establish himself in the starting lineup and was loaned out the following summer. The Spanish club was pleased with the player's performance and decided to complete his full transfer.
The 26-year-old right-wing midfielder has played 51 matches for the Canadian national team, scoring eight goals in his career. Buchanan has contributed to the team with his speed and technical skills.
This transfer has become an important addition for "Villarreal" and will help strengthen the team's attacking line in the upcoming seasons.
