Makarçuk: "Sochi" will not fight for the lower places

"Sochi" football club midfielder Artyom Makarchuk shared his thoughts on the results at the start of the season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In his interview, he discussed the current state of the team and future plans. According to Makarchuk, there was no chance to reach the penalty shootout in the last game.

The opposing team chose the right tactics, resulting in "Sochi" players being forced to spend a lot of time defending in the last thirty minutes of the game. Due to fatigue and a decrease in concentration, they allowed the opponent opportunities during set pieces.

In the first half of the match, "Sochi" performed well, had enough strength, and stood up against the opponent. According to Makarchuk, the "Dinamo" team controls the ball more and prefers to attack from the midfield.

For this reason, "Sochi" closed the center and focused on counterattacks, resulting in two goals. The start of the season has not been easy for "Sochi," and they have yet to record a victory.

Makarchuk did not give a direct answer regarding this situation but emphasized that there is a desire within the team to correct the situation. The players want to win every game, and efforts are currently being made in this direction.

There are many new players in the team, and the full adaptation process has not yet been completed. According to Makarchuk, the quality of play will improve soon, and the new players will also start to help the team.

He positively assessed all the players and expressed confidence in the team's future. Makarchuk does not agree with the idea that the "Sochi" team will fight for the lower places.
