Former “Arsenal” and “Tottenham” defender Sol Campbell assessed the chances of “Liverpool” finishing the English Premier League season unbeaten. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Campbell, while it is a very challenging task, it is achievable. He stated that considering the potential of the current squad, “Liverpool” is the club with the highest probability of becoming the next “unbeaten” team.
For reference, the “unbeaten” title was first claimed by the “Arsenal” team in the 2003-2004 season. That season, “Arsenal” did not lose any matches in the English championship and achieved this milestone for the first time in history.
Additionally, back in 1889, the “Preston North End” team also finished the championship unbeaten. Unlike others, “Preston North End” did not lose any matches in the country cup that year either.
Campbell emphasized that the “Liverpool” team has experienced and talented players. If they set a clear goal and work together, there is a possibility of finishing the season unbeaten.
However, this requires a high level of consistency, unity, and strong will. Therefore, while “Liverpool” has the potential to achieve such a result, it is not easy.
