Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim explained the decision to play Amad Diallo in a new position during a friendly match. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Typically, the Portuguese specialist uses the winger from Côte d'Ivoire as a right wing defender. However, this time he decided to play Diallo behind the striker.
According to Amorim, this is not Amad's usual position, but the player must be ready to play in different positions. The coach emphasized the importance of good ball control with the left foot for this task.
Additionally, Bryan Mbeumo is also available in this position, but there will be a need to utilize various players throughout the season. Amorim stated that the team should be able to use Amad both as a winger and as a "number ten," as both options are necessary for the team.
