Dmitriy Parfenov, a former player of the “Spartak” team, expressed his opinion about the transfer of Portuguese midfielder Jedson Fernandes from the “Besiktas” club to the capital team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
It has been reported that the value of this deal is 20 million 780 thousand euros, with an additional 7 million 270 thousand euros to be paid as a bonus. Thus, this transfer became the most expensive purchase in the history of the “red-whites.”
Parfenov emphasized that discussing the financial aspect of the transfer is not appropriate. In his opinion, if the club sets high goals, it is natural to buy expensive players.
Parfenov also stated that if “Spartak” has the opportunity, it can purchase the necessary player. According to him, “Zenit” and “Krasnodar” are also making significant transfers to their ranks.
“If Spartak wants to achieve high results, it is necessary to strengthen the team,” Parfenov said in an interview with the “RB Sport” publication. He also emphasized that rather than calculating the financial capabilities of other clubs, it is important for each team to strive to achieve the goals they set for themselves.
