Dmitriy Radchenko, a former player of the Russian national team, expressed his opinion on the transfer of Jedson Fernandes to the "Spartak" club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
On July 31, the press service of "Spartak" officially announced the transfer of Portuguese player Jedson Fernandes. The Moscow club paid nearly 21 million euros to acquire this player from Turkey's "Beşiktaş" team.
This amount is set without taking bonuses into account. According to Dmitriy Radchenko, the transfer of Fernandes is a significant event for the Russian championship, as the amount spent on the player is very large.
Radchenko also believes that if Fernandes wanted to develop in his career, he would have chosen a team participating in the UEFA Champions League or other major tournaments. In his opinion, there were no such offers for Fernandes, which is why he chose the "Spartak" club.
Jedson Fernandes may make his debut in Russia on Sunday. The "Spartak" team will face the "Akron" club away.
The match will start at 13:30 Moscow time.
