Previously, other clubs in England, namely Arsenal and Tottenham from London, showed interest in Rodrigo. However, Arsenal was not willing to meet the player's salary demands.

Rodrigo himself did not wish to move to Tottenham. For reference, this summer, Liverpool has already added several new players to its squad.
