Football expert Valeriy Nepomnyashiy spoke about his impressions from the match between "Spartak" and "Akron" in an interview with the online publication "Evro-Futbol". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the specialist, it was not easy to comment on this match. He also shared his thoughts on "Spartak"’s new player Jedson.
Nepomnyashiy emphasized that Jedson did not stand out in any significant aspect during his game. He also stated that he does not agree with head coach Stankovich's decision to field Jedson from the very first minutes.
In his opinion, every new player needs time to adapt to the championship. Foreign players also make mistakes thinking that it is easy to play here.
New teams like "Akron" can also be strong opponents and are providing serious resistance to "Spartak". For this reason, we have not yet seen Jedson's full potential.
Nepomnyashiy mentioned that he liked "Spartak"’s performance in the second half. He noted that the team was organized and acted seriously, but Hlushevich's expulsion from the field affected the result.
In his opinion, the team deserved to win, but luck turned away. He also talked about Zobnin's actions during the second penalty situation against "Akron".
According to him, at that moment the "Akron" player was not controlling the ball, and the ball was in a neutral position. Nepomnyashiy also explained that the start of the season is difficult for "Spartak".
In his view, a challenging start to the season will be beneficial for the team and football as a whole. He recalled that last year "Krasnodar" also started the season difficultly but later achieved good results.
Such situations often occur at the beginning of a new season, and this is a natural process.
