The tax burden for football clubs has been significantly reduced.

A significant and positive announcement has been made in Uzbekistan football. Zamin.uz reported on this matter.
Pursuant to a decree signed by the head of state, the tax burden on football clubs operating in the Super League and Pro League has been significantly reduced. These measures were adopted to improve the sports financing system and attract greater involvement from the private sector.
According to the new decree, starting in April 2026, teams participating in these leagues will be fully exempt from personal income tax. Consequently, the social security tax rate for clubs has also been sharply reduced and will now not exceed one percent.
Such relief will allow clubs to significantly improve their budget performance. As a result, they will be able to allocate more funds to recruiting new talented players, renovating sports bases, and creating modern infrastructure.
According to analysts and experts, such economic privileges will strengthen the financial stability of local football. Private investors are expected to show greater interest in sports, and the process of clubs transitioning to a financially independent model from the state will accelerate.
This decision could mark a new stage not only for individual teams but also from the perspective of the future of Uzbek football as a whole. The main focus must now be on how effectively these opportunities are utilized.
