Glushenkov's main problem is the lack of confidence in the game

The former player and coach of the "Zenit" team, Aleksey Strepetov, shared his thoughts on the main problem of the club's midfielder Maksim Glushenkov for the 2025/2026 season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, Glushenkov is not always on the starting lineup and does not appear confident in his game. Strepetov emphasized that the player just needs to relax and feel the understanding with his teammates in attack.

Regardless of whether the forwards are Kassyera or Sobolev, Glushenkov needs to adapt to them. Currently, his teammate Vendel has returned to the lineup, and Glushenkov can play well with him.

For this reason, Strepetov believes that Glushenkov will regain his form. In the current season, Glushenkov participated in three matches in the Russian championship and one match in the country’s cup.

However, he could not show effective actions in these matches. In the last game against the CSKA team, he came on as a substitute six minutes before the end of regular time.

Earlier, there were reports of disagreements between Glushenkov and the team's head coach Sergey Semak, which is why the player is planning to leave "Zenit".
