
“Match TV” commentator Kirill Krestin apologized to CSKA fans for the mistake he made during the report on the match between Zenit and Moscow's CSKA in the third round of the RPL. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He acknowledged that during the match, Zenit's head coach Sergey Semak referred to his coaching staff as “our coaching staff.” Krestin explained this situation by stating that he is from Saint Petersburg and admitted that this behavior was an unacceptable mistake on air.
He apologized to CSKA fans and emphasized that such a situation would not happen again in the future. Krestin stated that he conducts his work impartially and professionally, and that he does not get carried away with emotions, even when Zenit scores or concedes a goal.
In response to the criticism he received, he expressed that he considers himself fair and neutral. At the same time, Krestin mentioned that he does not see himself as an analyst, which is why he refrained from criticizing the Zenit team.
