Yuri Gavrilov, a veteran of Moscow's Spartak team, explained the reasons behind the frequent dismissals of Spartak players from the field. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that if players cannot consistently engage in proper challenges and cannot take the ball without committing fouls, it indicates a lack of skill on their part. According to Gavrilov, such situations show that the players' skills in this regard are weak.
For reference, Spartak players have been dismissed from the field three times in the current season of the Russian championship. Twice this occurred in a match against the Baltika team, which happened in the second round.
In that match, Spartak lost 0:3. Another dismissal was recorded in the match against Akron in the third round, which ended in a 1:1 draw.
In the upcoming fourth round, Spartak will face the leading team in the tournament table, Lokomotiv, in Cherkizovo. This game is expected to be an important test for the team.
Gavrilov pointed out that the lack of skill in the players' actions is leading to negative consequences for them. Therefore, it is essential for the players in the team to work on their skills and learn to fight for the ball without committing fouls.
